Home owners insurance can go far beyond just basic insurance needs. The traditional thought is you put your jewelry, furs and valuable art on your policy. The truth is you can put way more. Coverage for water back up in the basement is always important, you may not be in a flood zone but regardless that wouldn’t matter. Say your sump pump stops working and you get water seeping in on a heavy rain storm destroying your finished basement.
